The Bond Buyer newspaper reports that the SEC has said it may delay final implementation of its proposed rules covering “municipal advisors.” The move came one day after 34 lawmakers delivered a letter asking the commission to “scale back” the proposed rules and exempt certain advisors who are already heavily regulated, including registered reps of broker dealers.

According the The Bond Buyer, SEC may wait until September of next year to implement the final rules.
