A note from NAIFA President Terry Headley:

As we continue to witness the stunning images from the 9.0-magnitude earthquake and tsunami in Japan, I wanted you to know that NAIFA has reached out to JAIFA, our sister organization in Tokyo, to convey our deep concerns and regrets during this difficult recovery period.

As you know, NAIFA welcomes a delegation from the Japanese Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors to the NAIFA Conference each year, and it is in this spirit of friendship that NAIFA has made a financial donation directly to JAIFA in support of their ongoing relief efforts and to assist JAIFA Members and their Families.Donate today

On a similar note, you may have seen in a recent NAIFA blog that the The Million Dollar Round Table and the MDRT Foundation have established the MDRT Japan Disaster Relief Fund. The MDRT Foundation has donated the first $50,000 to the fund, and MDRT will match donations up to another $100,000. For more information or to donate online, please go to www.MDRTFoundation.org.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the citizens of Japan. They have a long road ahead, and they will continue to need our support through donations to 501c3 organizations such as the MDRT Foundation and the American Red Cross.

Thank you for your support.
